As I were born and bred in the great City of Manchester, the recent events of the horrendous and devastating Manchester Arena bombing was heart breaking. As I sat in my living room that night literally watching the news just an hour after it happened I text my friends asking them if they knew anyone there that night as something bad is happening. The next day was a blur with all the information being released through the media just miles from where I live. I knew I wanted to help in some way and after hearing people saying they couldn't get a tattoo appointment for the Manchester Bee or that they wanted something to show their support in a less permanent manor the idea of making Manchester Bee items came to be. For one whole week (and a little bit longer) I dedicated my time to designing and creating Manchester Bee mugs and apparel in which I would (and have) donated all of my profits to the MEN Red Cross Just Giving fund. The spirit of Manchester is so amazing and overwhelming and I along with thousands of others was proud as punch to be part of such a spectacular City with so much heart. I want to thank EVERYONE who purchased an item from Frankie and Bear over that week - you helped us to make a difference. I also want to thank Slimming World (especially Amanda and Debbie) for rallying around and collecting everyone's orders and also to Baked with love MCR (an amazing Macaron artisan bakery - seriously check them out www.bakedwithlovemcr.co.uk) as I received some free Vanilla Macarons on delivery which were super yummy - best i've had! The donation has now been made but the bee products have been such a success that I have decided to continue some of the items in the shop so you don't have to miss out and I can show that I am still so proud of where I come from.
There's no doubt Frankie and Bear will do their bit for charity once again so keep your eyes open for special promotions and get something back for helping us to donate. Be kind to one another - signing off xoxo
